このユニークな茶碗は、未精製の唐津の山土を使い、ろくろ成形であえて少し中心をずらして作りました。小ぶりながら、片側にちょっと傾いたフォルムが、なんとも言えない愛嬌を感じさせます。
さらに、即興的な筆致で描かれた、しだれ柳の枝（表側）と、秋草（裏側）が、それぞれこの茶碗の趣を深めています。どちらを正面にしても楽しめるのも魅力です。
全体には透明釉を施し、高台まわりには釉薬をかけず、そこに私のサインと素地の土肌を見せています。
春には若柳を正面に、秋には秋草を正面にして季節に合わせて使い分けても楽しい一碗です。もちろん、茶箱にもぴったり！
使えば使うほど、どんどん味わいが増していきますよ。

Wheel thrown but slightly off-center with unprocessed Karatsu mountain clay, this rather small chawan has an unusual tilt to one side giving it a charming character. This is further enhanced by the spontaneous brushwork depicting weeping willow branches on one side and an autumn grass on the reverse side, either of which can function as the front of the bowl. The bowl was dipped in clear glaze with a small area around the foot where my sign is showing the unglazed clay body. Fired in oxidation at RichadoGama to 1220°C. Who will be the lucky owner of this one-of-a-kind little treasure?
An ideal piece for both this season of young willows as well as the wild grasses of fall, it would also be perfect for Chabako. Remember, the more it’s used the better it’ll get😉! Who will be the lucky owner of this one-of-a-kind little treasure?
